5 Days Zambia's Two Rivers Safari

This is a 5 days adventure safari in Zambia that takes you on the banks of Zambia's most beautiful and contrasting rivers - the Luangwa and Zambezi. Explore the Luangwa Valley, which marks the end of the Great Rift Valley and the Zambezi River. For nature lovers, the Luangwa Valley is one of the last unspoilt wilderness areas and possibly the finest wildlife sanctuary in Africa. Enjoy game viewing adventures through the park, scenically bordered by an impressive escarpment, boasting of a great diversity of wildlife.

TOUR ITINERARY

Days 1 & 2
On arrival at Mfuwe International Airport, you will meet your safari guide and be driven to Nsefu camp. During the transfer, you will carry out a game viewing along the way. This camp is on a sweeping bend of the Luangwa River, 12 miles north of Tena Tena Camp, far in the north of the Park's undeveloped Nsefu Sector. On arrival you will have lunch, followed by a rest before the afternoon and evening game drive. On the following day, you will decide to drive or walk through the ebony groves. OR explore the Nsefu Sector of the South Luangwa National Park probably with a drive to the salt pans that will cover different habitats. Dinners and overnights at Nsefu Camp

Days 3 & 4
After an early breakfast, transfer by either game drive or walk to Tena Tena Camp. The camp lies within the South Luangwa National Park and enjoys a stunning location on a sweeping bend of the Luangwa River. A grove of mahogany trees shade the large custom-made tents. You will observe antelopes, elephants and hippos on the riverbank and many other animals during the game drives.  On the following day, have a chance to visit the spectacular lagoon, Buca Buca, where a whole morning can be spent quietly sitting while the game comes down to feed and drink. You may also decide to get up before dawn and head out into the bush for a sunrise breakfast and leisurely drive back to camp. Dinners and overnights at Tena Tena Camp

Day 5
After an early breakfast, transfer to Mfuwe Airport for the flight to the Lower Zambezi. As you fly into the area, you will see the wide Zambezi River, dotted with islands. Buffalo and elephant are always seen feeding along with the pods of hippos that rest on the edge of the sandbanks.
