Tour Itinerary

DAY 1: Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park, a park with beautiful lakes and rich grasslands which are set deep in the crater valley, this is truly the most breathtaking scenery in the park. The park spreads over an area of 1978 sq kilometers in the western arm of the Great East African Rift Valley 418 km from the capital Kampala and takes approximately 6 hours. The park is a home to a variety of wildlife including elephants, lions, hippos, buffaloes, Uganda Kobs, baboons and birds all typical riverrine savannah habitats and the famous Kazinga Channel. DAY 2: Game drive and Launch cruise
Begin your day with a cup of coffee. Early morning game drive along Kasenyi and Queens Mile makes visitors encounter elephants, buffalo, water bucks, warthogs, lions, Uganda Kobs lakes and a variety of birds. After lunch, a two hour boat trip along the famous Kazinga channel a natural channel between Lake Edward and Lake George. Thanks to the elephants, buffaloes and hundreds of hippos, this cruise will definitely be one of the highlights of your safari. Overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge/Jacana Safari Lodge/Bush Lodge

DAY 3: Queen Elizabeth to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast we will leave Queen Elizabeth National Park and head towards Bwindi, the scenic route runs through a verdant countryside while you pass traditional homesteads and farms. Overnight at Gorilla Forest Camp/Buhoma Lodge/Buhoma Community Bandas

DAY 4: Gorilla tracking
After breakfast, report to the ranger station at 8:00am for yet another highlight of your safari: a meeting with the gentle giants of Bwindi! Especially hikers will love the tracking in the beautiful ecosystem of the park. It is difficult to predict how many hours you will hike; it may take two to eight hours. Expect to walk a long distance in steep and muddy conditions, sometimes with rain overhead, before you encounter any gorillas. But it will definitely be worthwhile as you observe them closely while they eat, play and rest. A unique and unforgettable experience! For conservation purposes, time spent with the gorillas is limited to one hour. The ranger guide always briefs you on how to behave with these giant apes. Make sure you carry a rain jacket, jungle boots, drinking water and walking stick to be provided by park rangers for easy movement inside the jungle. DAY 5: Bwindi Forest to Kampala
Drive back to Kampala
