This tour starts and ends in South Africa. It goes through Pretoria, Kruger National Park, Panorama Route, Zululand, Garden Route, Klein Karoo, Cape Winelands, Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and many more.

TOUR ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrive at Pretoria
Pick up from your preferred hotel and spend the full day touring Pretoria, the capital of South Africa. You will start with a visit to the world famous Cullinan Diamond Mine, some of the historical sights such as the Union Building, Voortrekker Monument, the City Hall, Kruger House and Church Square. Overnight at Whistletree Lodge

Day 2: Head to Graskop
After breakfast, pass via Witbank to the Panorama Route famous for its fantastically scenic mountain passes, waterfalls and viewing points. Visit some of these sights as well as Pilgrim’s Rest, previously the heart of the “Gold Rush” before ending up in the quaint town of Graskop, arriving at the hotel where time is on hand to relax. Overnight at Graskop Hotel

Day 3: En-route to Kruger National Park
Have breakfast and go on the scenery route of the Mpumulanga region, including visits to God's Window on the edge of the escarpment, which offers a splendid view across the Blyde River Canyon, to Bourke's Luck Potholes, which are deep cylindrical holes formed by thousands of years of erosion, to the Mac Mac Falls, and to Pilgrims Rest, a historical town, which is now a National monument. Overnight at Honeyguide Tented Safari Lodge

Day 4: Game viewing
This morning after breakfast, be collected in an open game viewing vehicle and head for the Kruger National Park. Plenty of opportunities are at hand for viewing game in this famous game reserve with good chances of spotting the "Big Five". After a full day game viewing, return to the lodge. Overnight at Honeyguide Tented Safari Lodge

Day 5: Drive to Zululand
Go on to Swaziland and drive through this small African Kingdom, traveling via Piggs Peak to Mbabane and visit the Swazi craft markets. Before leaving Swaziland travel for a short while, driving past the national stadium, parliament buildings and through Manzini, the industrial centre of Swaziland and past the big bend with the countries largest sugar plantations. Continue to Zululand and head for your next overnight stop near Pongola. Enjoy game viewing on the Pongola Game Reserve, famous for its conservation of relocated Elephant, and perhaps an opportunity of seeing one or more of these magnificent creatures. Overnight at White Elephant Bush Camp

Day 6: Head to Ballito (Durban)
In the morning, head for Lake St Lucia, a combined estuary and lagoon system rich in unique plant, bird and animal life. You will boat cruise with chances of seeing hippos, crocodiles, aquatic and other birds. Carry on down the coast to Balito, with time to relax & enjoy the beauty of this seaside town. Overnight at the Boathouse

Day 7: Transfer to the Plettenberg Bay
Head inland for an en-route stop at a traditional Zulu kraal and experience and learn about the Zulu culture followed by a typical African meal. Arrive in Durban early afternoon, where you will be either dropped off at Durban Airport for your flight to either George or Port Elizabeth. On arrival at George or Port Elizabeth Airport, you will be met and commence traveling along the Garden Route on your way to Knysna or Plettenberg Bay, one of the most popular seaside holiday resorts in South Africa, arriving at the lodge in late afternoon. Overnight at Hog Hollow Country Lodge

Day 8: Sight seeing and boat cruise
Spend some time on the Garden Route enjoying the stunningly beautiful scenery and sights. Time will also be available for just relaxing or for those with a love for nature and the sea. Have an optional whale and dolphin boat cruise where it is possible to see up to eight different species either playing or feeding in the bay. Overnight at Hog Hollow Country Lodge

Day 9: En-route to Oudtshoorn
Leave the coast and head inland to the Oudtshoorn, famous for the extensive Ostrich farming that takes place in the area. Visit one of the natural wonders, Cango Caves as well as a visit to an Ostrich Farm to find out more about the worlds largest flightless bird. Overnight at Rosenhof Country Lodge

Day 10: Oudtshoorn to Stellenbosch
After breakfast, journey towards Cape Town via Mossel Bay and Swellendam where stops of interest will be made, such as the old post office tree and the Dias Museum. Continuing over the Sir Lowry's Pass, you head for the heart of the Cape Winelands and the quaint town of Stellenbosch. Overnight at Lanzerac Hotel

Day 11: Move from Stellenbosch to Bantry Bay, Cape Town
Depart for Cape Town and travel through spectacular vineyard covered valleys to Paarl where the first stop will be at the Taal (Language) monument. Thereafter, visit Franschhoek, a thriving town first settled by the French Huguenots, a short stop will be made at the Huguenot Monument. This whole area is also the home of many fine South African wines, a few of which can be sampled at your visits to a couple of the local wine estates. Arrive at the hotel in the late afternoon. Overnight at O on Kloof Boutique Hotel

Day 12: City tour
Have a morning tour of the Cape Peninsula. You will visit the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens before driving along the False Bay coastline, through Fishhoek and Simonstown to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. Return to Cape Town via the scenic Atlantic Coastline over Constantia Neck to Hout Bay, and continue through Llandudno, Camps Bay and Sea Point. Overnight at O on Kloof Boutique Hotel

Day 13: Reserved for departure
After breakfast you will have the balance of the day at leisure until your transfer to Cape Town Airport.
