Africa Tours and Safaris

This is an 11 days (10 nights) Great Wilderness Safari in Botswana. This safari will start in Botswana and end in Zambia. It will take you from the aquatic Okavango Delta to the open plains of the Linyanti region, Chobe National Park and later end in Zambia.


Day 1, 2 & 3: Transfer to the Okavango Delta
After arrival at Maun Airport, you will be met by our safari representative and later be guided to have your scenic flight into the Okavango Delta. For the 3 nights, you will have an overnight at Jacana Camp, situated in a permanently flooded region of the private Jao concession. This camp will represent the heart of the Delta, with year-round mokoro safaris as well as island bush walks and, water level permitting, motorboat cruises. During the game drives, observe antelopes, red lechwes, lions, leopards, buffalo and elephants. Dinner and overnight at Jacana Camp

Day 4, 5 & 6:  En-route to Ketumetse Trails
Depart this morning by aircraft to the Ketumetse Trails Camp, situated in the south-western sector of the Selinda private concession, in the seasonally flooded portion of the Okavango Delta where it joins into the Selinda Spillway. On your arrival, you will have some views of the floodplain in cool comfort, game drives, night drives and bush walks. Dinner and overnight at Ketumetse Trails

Day 7, 8 & 9: Drive to the Linyanti Concession
After a light breakfast, drive north eastwards to the private Linyanti Concession. The landscape of the Linyanti varies from floodplains to open dry land savannah and forested habitat with sweeping views, creating a paradise for a high diversity of wildlife and bird species. For the next three days, carry out game drives with lunch en-route, birding activities, enjoying a part of the Selinda Spillway and its rich floodplains. Dinner and overnight at Linyanti Tented Camp/ Kings Pool Camp/Duma Tau Camp

Day 10: Fly to Chobe National Park and Sussi Lodge, Zambia
After a short morning drive and breakfast, depart by light aircraft to the northern Chobe region of Chobe National Park. This area is famous for its vast herds of elephants in the dry season and other unique species such as the elusive puku and Chobe bushbuck that move to the river in the hottest hours of the day. Enjoy a lunch on the boat cruise in a catamaran-style shaded boat. After the game drive, cross Botswana to Zambia using the Kazangula border, where the four countries of Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Namibia meet, arriving in the late afternoon at Sussi Lodge, in Livingstone.

Day 11: Victoria Falls, Zambia and depart
After breakfast, enjoy a guided tour of Victoria Falls one of the seven natural wonders of the world. Later be transferred to Livingstone Airport to find your departure flight back home.
